Kathryn Carlyle and Cheryl Gibbs exhibited their unique custom “Wearable Art Jewelry” and numerous (2) dimensional wall paintings at the Butterfield Garage Art Gallery in St. Augustine, Fl.
The artist were on hand to discuss their unique one of a kind art creations with the patrons of The Butterfield Garage Art Gallery. The exhibition continues through the end of September 2011.
In addition to their recent creations, Carlyle Gibbs’ work can be viewed on their web site, www.carlylegibbs.com, or at The Arts Arena Gallery in Delray Beach, Florida. Both Kathryn Carlyle and Cheryl Gibbs have been resident artists at the Arts Arena since is founding in 2006.
Carlyle Gibb’ jewelry has been seen on popular television shows, including “Burn Notice”. Additionnally, their work has been profiled in numerous local and national publicaions.
Kathryn Carlyle’s wall art can also be viewed at The Artist Guild in Delray Beach, Florida. Kathryn’s paintings are included in numerous international private and public collections. In addition Kathryn exhibits in several international exhibitions each year, including exhbits in New Zealand and France.

The nationally acclaimed artists, Kathryn Carlyle and Cheryl Gibbs will be available to meet patrons of the Butterfield Garage Art Gallery in St. Augustine, Florida during it’s monthly “First Friday” gallery night opening on Friday, September 02, 2011. The Carlyle Gibbs Exhibition will continue through Friday, Sept. 30. The opening exhibition hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The dynamic pair of Carlyle and Gibbs creates one-of-a-kind gold & silver jewelry designs. In addition to their acclaimed jewelry, they are also showcasing their unique paintings and one of a kind wall art. Many of their creations can be seen on their web site at http://www.CarlyleGibbs.com.

Through their collaboration, the artists practice in very different and diverse media — metal fabrication, painting and collage. Their individual creations and input mirror a shared inspiration of natural elements, metaphysical wonder and universal awareness.

Both Kathryn and Cheryl utilize their skills and creativity to meld the use of woven wire and metallic fabrics to create and texture a delicate arrangement of natural stones. It is their unique approach of integrating gold and silver wire along with precious and semi precious stones that has captured an international audience. Their collaboration, along with highly developed and transcendent methods of metal fabrication, succeeds in creating a harmonious and spiritual journey for the client. Through the integration of natural elements, along with a corresponding implementation of varying light and luminescence, each unique piece conveys a significant story, which their work ultimately ascends and represents.

The USA network hit TV show Burn Notice, episode “Partners In Crime” is being replayed on the network this week.  Many of Carlyle Gibbs “Wearable Art” jewelry designs were worn by several models and actresses during the filming of the episode.  The team of Carlyle Gibbs were present during filming last summer to provide insight how best to wear their artistic creations.

Currently Carlyle Gibbs are in discussions with several film representatives discussing future prospects for other film & TV ventures.

As resident members, Kathryn Carlyle and Cheryl Gibbs of Carlyle Gibbs will again be participating and show casing their original “wearable art jewelry” in the upcoming May 2010 Arts Arena opening.  The opening is scheduled from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday May 21, 2010.  The Arts Arena Gallery is located next door to Chicos in the Altantic Plaza at 777 Atlantic Avenue & the Intra Coastal waterway in Downtown Delray Beach, Florida.
